Silver Creek storage units were a little less full after all that.  A drum set takes a lot of room and if you do not break it down, it takes up even more room.  Our basement was now filled up with drum sets and organs and guitars as we banged away on three chord songs we struggled to make sound good.  We tried the G Chord than a C, than a D chord and tried to match up some of the songs we heard on the radio to those three chords.  Our fingers were hurt and our wrists were hurt as we played over and over again, the same songs we thought we were playing.  We wanted girls to pay attention to us though, so we were determined to set the world on fire and have every pretty girl in town calling us on the phone and wanting to be with us.  What a dream to behold.

Vacations are for one week in America compared to other places that give you more time.  Germans get six weeks off a year to vacation.  How nice would that be?  You can travel, or rest, get things done around the house and things like that.  We might even consider a vacation to Canada if we had six weeks to go.  We could divide it between Canada and Africa or Europe or anywhere else.

Where would you go?  We like the thrill of Brazil and boating down the Amazon River.  How about the great places in Egypt or Israel or Turkey?  A safari in Kenya always looks exciting on those TV shows.  We like to watch the travel show and see where to go.  Six weeks vacation could get you to many places.  We saw a cruise once that lasted fifteen days that took you on the Mediterranean Sea.  It stops in Italy, Spain, London, and all of that.  That leaves one with four weeks left.  Blue Mountain storage places still might not be next though in line.  I am thinking Australia.  The toilet water swirls the opposite way.  I might want to see that.  Kangaroos and all the other strange animals sound good too, to look at.  That big rock that changes colors too sounds good.  How about camping in the Outback?

We say stay one week there.  That leaves us three weeks left.  We could paint the house or fix broken things.  We will say two days for all of that.  OK.  It will take longer to paint the house than two days.  Canada anyone?  Not yet.  We want to see the Black Hills and California.  The beaches and the sun and L.A. and San Francisco, also sound good for a week or two.  OK.

One week in California, we have two left.  Blue Mountain storage now?  Canada is very pretty with the mountains and landscape and big cities and it is not too far to go.  You like rodeos?  Go to Calgary than and see the biggest stampede in the world.  We could go to Florida next though instead, and see Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.  We like Mickey and Goofy and the kids always want to go there.  That could be a last week on vacation.

So let us add all this up and see how much it will cost us to go to all these places.  Wow!  We could sell the house and car.  Give up private school.  The kids could sell all their toys and books.  I have tools to sell.  The wife has shoes and dresses to sell.  We could work three jobs apiece and the kids could sell lemonade or arts and crafts.  We could have a garage sale every week until everything we own is gone.  We know.

We got an idea.  We could go to Blue Mountain storage and put everything we own in there and move there.  After our six-week vacation, we could move there.  We will not have much to store though.  It will be all gone.  Maybe a one-week vacation is good after all.
