Barbra was sure that her big opportunity was going to be coming at the end of the week. The company was looking for someone to go to one of their subsidiaries in London, England and Barb had applied when it was announced. Some people say that the corporate world is a mans world, but Barb was determined to prove them wrong. She knew that the position that they were sending someone over for she was one of the most qualified people in the company for that position. She also had always wanted to go to Europe and this was her chance to get to go. Barb kind of felt that her fate was hanging in the balance with this decision.

On Friday when the announcement was made in the morning meeting for the overseas job Barb could barely contain her shout for joy when she was announced as the person that they had decided to send for the job. They were going to be meeting with her later in the day to go over all of the details. Since Barb was not married and had no children it was a little easier for her to leave then some of her co-workers who had families that would miss them.

When she met with her bosses they told her that they really wanted her to take a year contract with the subsidiary, but they could understand if she wanted just the six month job. Of course Barb had no problem with going to London for a year. It was her dream.

Six months later Barb was packed up and ready to go. At fist she was a little nervous about leaving everything in her apartment so she decided that she would keep all of her things in a secure St. Hubert storage unit. She was going to take her clothes and books but all of her furniture was going to be in a St. Hubert storage unit. Barb had already flown over to look at the apartment that they had for her in London and it was beautiful so she did not feel bad about leaving the majority of her things in a St. Hubert storage unit.

At the end of the year Barb was given the opportunity to take a promotion and run the division in London. She had made so many friends there and was even seeing a guy on a regular basis and so she took it. Her company paid for all of her things to be shipped over from her St. Hubert storage unit. She was now living and working in London and she loved every moment of it.
