Flowers Bring Beaurty And Tranquility To Calgary Furniture Storage
-
The breeze blew in a cool, moist thunder shower which caught Loren off guard as he finished up the landscaping project he had been working on for a neighborhood Calgary furniture storage facility. His job had been to create a focal point as an arrangement of hearty shrubbery with floral accents that would serve to beautify the area around and beside the controlled access entry gate onto the property. The manager of the self storage facility had given him the option as to what kinds of plants to use, and had given him a fixed budget for materials and supplies. Loren had chosen zinnias as the floral accent, with deep pink, purple and orange flowers that really set off the yellow trim of the buildings and the black steel gate.
The transformation had been like night and day. He had taken a barren median and small stretch of mulched curbing and had turned it into something that was immediately stunning to the eye and beautiful to behold. The manager of the Calgary furniture storage facility, a vibrant, happy woman named Marsha, had been taken back by how quickly Loren had been able to make the change. All in a days work Loren replied to her as she handed him a small paper cone full of ice cold water from the dispenser located in the lobby of the Calgary furniture storage facility.
Now, as the clouds broke loose and trickled sweet rain all over the fluffy heads of the newly planted zinnias, Loren smiled and told Marsha that this storm was exactly what the flowers needed to stay perky and colorful. Marsha was already turned around and headed back into the lobby of the self storage facility, where she was to cut Loren a check for the labor and the first month of upkeep of the flower bed. She motioned for him to follow here into a small office down the hall where she cut the check and handed it to Loren, who put it into his back pocket with gratitude.
This money was going straight into the bank, which was his first stop after he said goodbye to Marsha at the Calgary furniture storage facility. Then, he was off to the forest two hours south of town, where he would be camping for three days of inner peace, meditation and hiking. Loren loved the forest. No other place evoked so much aliveness, so much serenity within him. He could be gone for a week or even two, and he knew that he would still be enjoying the solitude of the woods just as much on day ten as he did on day one, come what may. Loren glanced up at the sky once more as he climbed into the cab of his pickup truck and started home to get his camping gear. He was not about to let a small rain storm affect his well planned weekend. In fact, he had already gathered all of his gear, his tent and all of his food, and it sat neatly at the front of his garage waiting for his return home.
He would arrive at the national forest about two hours before sunset, leaving him plenty of time to find a camp site, set up his tent and take a quick hike before darkness fell. Later on, as the night sounds enveloped him and shooting starts flashed overhead, Loren appreciated the vastness of the star studded sky and noticed with peaceful amusement that he could not hear a single men made noise other then the ones that he, himself was making. This settled him into a long, peaceful meditation outside of his tent, as he let his mind clear and the sound of the frogs and crickets gently lull him into a place pf peace. Behind his eyes colors as vivid as those of the zinnias that he had planted earlier in the day swirled through him, and the crackling camp fire popped and sputtered as his weekend shifted into full swing.
