Agincourt, Ontario Canada is in the Scarborough district and is located in the city of Toronto.  Agincourt, Ontario is officially recognized by the City of Toronto as occupying the neighborhoods of Agincourt South–Malvern West and Agincourt North.  There are many self-storage facilities with storage units to choose from in Agincourt, Ontario. Agincourt, Ontario storage units can be fully climate controlled year round, heated only for those cold winter months or fully non-climate controlled.  Typically most of the storage units will be heated only since the summers are typically mild enough for what the average person is storing.

Agincourt, Ontario was once referred to as “Hero Town” by those that lived there.  It is not fully know the complete history of the nick name by may have derived from the battle of Agincourt of 1415.  The town of Agincourt was founded in 1858 by John Hill.  The name of the settlement was after Azincourt in northern France and apparently was intended to satisfy a French Canadian Post Office Department bureaucrat who demanded that Hill give his settlement a French name.  However the Azincourt in France is also the site of a decisive English victory over French forces in 1415. The original crossroads of Agincourt is located at Midland Avenue and Sheppard and served a rural agricultural population.

If one is looking to relocate to Agincourt, Ontario or just looking for a place to stop on holiday, one should check out the wide variety of Bed and Breakfast Inns as well as some of the history scenery.  One such Bed and Breakfast is Agincourt Manor.   It is a fine example of Victorian Architecture built in 1904 by a local merchant, Duncan Ferguson, his wife, and their seven children. The house was renovated into a seven-plex apartment building by a successful lumber mill family in 1954-1956. The building remained an apartment complex until 1997.  There are several other Inns to choose from, all offering a wide variety of amenities and different types of accommodations.

One question that is asked a lot is “If one is moving to Agincourt what should they know?”  First thing is that if the one asking is not from Ontario, be prepared for a brisk winter.  It is highly recommended that Agincourt, Ontario residents rent heated storage units.  Contact the people at Agincourt storage units to get advice about storing holiday supplies. They will tell you storing things in a garage or attic is a recipe for disaster.  In the dank garage, there is very little protection from the elements and sometimes leaves very little or no room for the car.  And everyone likes to have their car in the garage during the winter if possible.  Makes leaving for work in the morning almost bearable.  Heated units at Agincourt storage units keep belongings at around 21C degrees or 70F.  With the addition of a few tubs of damp rid, there is little to worry about when your items are in Agincourt storage units.  Another recommendation the Agincourt storage unit people will make in regards to your unit is to purchase a disc lock.  This is just another level of security and peace of mind.  It is recommended that the lock be oiled a few times a year, especially before the cold weather hits.

With all of that said, Agincourt, Ontario Canada is a nice place to live with a lot of self storage units to choose from.
