• Important to be Consistent

    Why is it important to be consistent? In your everyday life if you are not doing what you are supposed to do on a consistent basis, then what ends up happening? Something gets forgotten and that could cause a major issue. If you are not consistent with whom you are as a person, people will eventually question you and stop trying to guess who are you which could lead to some problems at work and in the rest of your life. Being consistent is a very important part of your work life and also your outside of work life.

    In most call centers, the company will ask you to say some exact phrasing that they believe will get the job done and also lead to their clients being taken care of. They have a script so that no on does or says anything they are not supposed to say which could lead to customers not being taken care of. Call center managers want to ensure that you are consistent in saying the right phrasing also because if a rep says something that is not right that could cause a customer deciding to sue the company for false information. This happens all because someone wasn’t consistent.

    It is not hard to be consistent. Tell the truth, be true to who you are and do what is best for the company. Scripts are there for a reason. If you are not able to follow a script, let your manager know and maybe there is something else for you to do in the company.

    Self storage is not a very difficult concept to understand. Customer service in self storage is the same as customer service at other places.  You really have to understand what customer service is first before you really truly try to get some understanding of what customers are wanting from you. When you go from facility to facility to facility you will find that not every manager will be of great service to you. Some facility managers will be down right rude to you. You will have to figure out whether or not you are ok with that behavior or not.
    Some customers do not seem to realize that they have all the power when it comes to renting self storage spaces. The customer is the one that has to be completely satisfied before they decide to rent. The customer is the one that has to sign the lease and agree to all the terms of renting a self storage unit. The manager can not just think that they can treat the customer any way they want to and expect the customer to go ahead and rent anyway. They are very naive. Again there will be some customers that do not care so much about the service as long as they are getting what they paid for.
    Customer service is a lost art in some self storage facilities and you never have to settle for less than you want. You hold all the power in terms of what level of customer service you deserve. It is very hard for some people to think about what to say when they are receiving bad service. They believe that they should say nothing and then just not come back. If they do this, then people that come in after them will get bad service. Eventually the cycle has to stop and the manager or store will change its ways. If they do not change their level of service then they could risk being shut down.
    It is always a good idea for regional managers to check the service level of their employees. They have to find out whether or not their manager can handle the responsibility of taking care of their customers. If they can not then that manager needs to go. The customer has all the power because they are the ones that choose to report, or  not to report the problems they ran into while at the storage facility. If they do nothing, then the manager wins. If they do something about it, the manager can choose to change their behavior. They will be able to keep their jobs.
    Self storage should be treated just like any other retail business. Yes they are actually selling empty space, but that empty space is an extension of the customer’s homes. If the customer does not get the respect they deserve then those spaces will remain empty. The choice is up to the manager and the regional managers to make sure that the level of customer service is up to par with the expectation of the customer. The customer has the power to change companies if they are able to speak up.

    Erin Woods storage units in Alberta, Canada are filled with something some of us could use right now.  We have had a whole lot of snow all over the continent of North America.  In the United States of America there has many blizzards flowing through the States.  Chicago and St. Louis each received over fifteen inches of snow in a very short time.  Where we live, all the snow shovels were sold out, which is hard to understand.  Do not people buy or own snow shovels anyway?  Did they all break?  Do that many people who live in places where it snows not own snow shovels?  We guess they do.  Some families might own more than one snow shovel to help with the cause.  We own one snow shovel because our young son is not quite up to the challenge of pushing snow off our driveway.  In Canada, the people are used to such snowfall, but they do get summer months where the sun is shining bright.  The blizzards in the United States of America almost had some cities closed down for a couple of days.  Airports were closed in New York and Chicago and the entire State of Oklahoma had their main highways shut down.  We have a couple of truck drivers in our family and they were not shut down, but saw many people in their cars pulled off the side of the road waiting for better things to come.  We have never done that, because we like to keep on keeping on.  We like to get to where we are going.

    Erin Woods storage units in Alberta, Canada have many snow shovels in their spaces we guess.   We could have used a few of them here in the United States of America.  Some stores in our town ran out of snow shovels, but sometimes people will panic and buy all kinds of stuff they really do not need.  Our family likes the snow, and seeing fifteen inches of snow fall from the sky is pretty cool really.  We do not mind shoveling snow either, because it is some what good for you, if you are the type of person who does not exercise very much.  We try to exercise on occasion, but it is hard to find time sometimes.  Be very careful though, of staying out too long when you are shoveling snow.  It could be a little hard on your heart if you over do it.  Help your older friends and people who live right next to you too.  Snow is not for everybody and people do die in the winter of heart attacks and such.

    Erin Woods storage units in Alberta, Canada have a few snow boots in them we guess.  Snow boots are cool because they can keep your feet dry and not so cold.  Our son likes to wear his, and we should pick up a few for them entire family.  We wonder if they are sold out too.  Our friend bought a snow shovel with a curved handle.  He was not too fond of it.  He thought it made shoveling the snow harder and we all laughed.  It looked like a good idea, but it turned out to be a bad idea.  So good luck and keep pushing snow.

    Developing a good ad campaign can do wonders for your Old Mill storage company. It is well know that you need good marketing to be the best.     There is nothing like the present. Trying to get things done at the last minute is what some of us do and like to do on a regular basis.
